KYVE is a Web3 data infrastructure solution that aims to provide fast and easy tooling for decentralized data validation, immutability, and retrieval. It is built on its own PoS Layer 1 blockchain, which is run by independent nodes that support and secure the KYVE blockchain.
KYVE has two layers: the Chain Layer and the Protocol Layer. The Chain Layer is the backbone of KYVE, while the Protocol Layer enables the actual use case of KYVE’s data lake. It includes data pools, funding, staking, and delegation. The protocol layer has its own protocol nodes, which are responsible for collecting data from a data source, bundling and uploading it to any decentralized storage solution, and then validating it, keeping track of which data is truly valid for its users to tap into.
KYVE is storage agnostic, meaning that users can store data through KYVE onto Arweave or code in their own storage solution. KYVE’s data is accessible to all for free via KYVE’s Data Pipeline or by coding your own solution using KYVE’s REST-API.
KYVE has its own native token, $KYVE, which is used for staking and delegating on the chain level, funding, staking, and delegating on the protocol level, and submitting and voting on proposals on the governance level. $KYVE is not yet on the market, and its TGE is planned for late Q1, 2023.
KYVE is an innovative solution that provides trustless, more secure access to on- and off-chain data, enabling developers, data engineers, and others to easily and reliably access the trustless data they need in order to continue building the future of Web3.
